How do I create my Breeder page?

Click the top link marked Breeders and in the first box put your Dragon Cave Scroll name and click create page. It will create a page with a template for putting some basic information about yourself and your Dragons into!

How do I link to my Breeder page?

To link to your breeder page or anyone else just use [[[breeder:<username>]]] anywhere the site accepts Wiki code, such as the forum or on your Dragon pages!

How do I create a page for my Dragon(s)?

Click the top link marked Dragons and in the first box put your Dragon's name and click create page. It will create a page with a template for putting both basic and advance Dragon information into. Repeat the process to create additional Dragon pages!

How do I link to my Dragon pages?

To link to your dragon's pages or any other dragon pages just use [[[dragon:<dragon name>]]] anywhere the site accepts wiki code, such as the forums or on your Breeder and Dragon pages.

How do I create sub pages for my breeder page?

To create pages of extra content for your breeder or Dragon pages just use [[[<username>:<new page>]]]. Replace <username> with your Dragon Scroll name, just as it appears for your Breeder page URL.

E.G.: [[[alia-guyat:breeding-calendar]]]

Save your page, click the created link and select the option to create the page. Add your content and save!

Can I do line breaks in my tables?

Absolutely! You just need to use an underscore (_) at the end of the line you want to manually break, like so:

How do I color my text?

There are two ways to do this. One is using named colors, the other way is through the use of hex codes.

How do I center an image?

Just use a equal sign (=) in front of the word image, like so:

How do I make tabs?

Tabs are a simple, but VERY useful way to organize content on your pages.

How do I create those collapsible boxes?

Like tabs, collapsible sections are very useful to organizing long sections of content on a Breeder or Dragon page. Here is the code to create the boxes:

Just like tabs, collapsible boxes may not be nested, so don't try to use a second collapsible box inside another box.

To change whether it starts visible or hidden just change folded to no for starting out visible and yes for starting out hidden. You can change the show and hide text to anything you like.

This guide is intended to help promote responsible breeding by aiding breeders in acquiring the various breeds of Dragons and identifying them as early on as possible. There are many spoilers in this guide, so if you wish to figure such things out yourself please do not read it.

You can see the baby dragon curled up inside this translucent egg.	Aww… It's a cute baby dragon. Its skin is smooth and doesn't seem to have any color to it.	And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.	Albino dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun's harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl—a shriek instead of a roar.

Balloon

This light egg is floating in the air.	Aww…It's a cute baby dragon. It's very light and enjoys bouncing all around.	And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.	"Balloon" dragons are so named because they are filled with a gas that makes them almost lighter than air, similar to balloons. However, they are not prone to "bursting," as they are covered in tough skin and can deflate themselves if necessary. In addition, they generally are slow moving. They use their gas bladders to float to the tops of trees, where food is more abundant. They can shift their weight from their backs to their fronts, allowing them to reach leaves and fruit.

Black

This egg has a faint green glow around it.	Aww…It's a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.	And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.	Black dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Bright Pink

It's bright. And pink.	Aww…It's a cute baby dragon. You think it's a girl, although you're not sure how to check.	And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.	Bright pink dragons, however, are one of the only all-female breeds of dragons. They eat only plants, and meat during mating season when it is brought to them by their mate. Their bright colors make them easy to spot during dragon mating season, which occurs once every 200 years and can last up to 2 years.
Notes
This Dragon was formerly known as the Pink Dragon until it was replaced by a new Pink breed that was both male and female. It is unknown at this time whether this egg still drops in the cave. The Dragon is still breedable and may be bred with any other breedable Dragon. Offspring appear to be of both the Bright Pink and Pink variety.

Daydream

This egg is sitting on a cloud.	Aww…It's a cute baby dragon. It has a pink cloud that seems to follow it everywhere. You seem to be having more difficulty concentrating since it arrived.	And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.	Daydream dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they can end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Deep Sea

This egg appears to be covered in scales.	Aww… It's a cute baby dragon. It was born with fins instead of legs and did not seem to react well to freshwater, so you placed it in the nearby ocean.	Its dorsal fin has grown larger, and it rarely surfaces anymore. It must be close to maturing.	Deep sea dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminous dorsal spine that serves to attract pray and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to abait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.

Dorsal

This egg has multiple bands of color on it.	Aww…It's a cute baby dragon. It has brightly colored dorsal fins on its back.	And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.	Dorsal dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; They raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

This Dragon can be picked up year-round from the cave. It can be male or female and will breed with any other breedable Dragon. The Purple Dorsal appears to be more common then the Red Dorsal.

Dragon Horse

This egg has strange markings on it.	Aww… It's a cute baby dragon. It seems to bear some semblance to a horse.	And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.	The dragon horse has an equine-shaped body and hooves instead of claws, which allows it to be a very fast runner. It specializes in running takeoffs, which are quicker than takeoffs from a stand-still. The horse dragon is able to stalk its prey from the ground, and then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Earth

This egg is sitting in a pile of small pebbles.	Aww…It's a cute baby dragon. It enjoys gathering pebbles and other small rocks and putting them in a pile.	And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.	Green dragons are also sometimes called "earth" dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down into the ground.

Frill

This egg has strange markings on it.	Aww…It's a cute baby dragon. It has large frills on its head.	And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.	Frilled dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight, and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the "best" frills being more likely to breed.

Geode

This egg is heavy and rough, as if it were made out of rock.	Aww…It's a cute baby dragon. This hatchling doesn't move much, it appears to be covered in stone.	And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing. However, the wings look too heavy to fly, and are filled with beautiful crystal.	Geode dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material, as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.
Notes
This Dragon can only be acquired through a Stone x Stone, Earth x Earth, or Stone x Earth breeding. Additionally Geodes are a separate species, unlike Alts, and breed true, so a Geode x Geode pair will produce a Geode. It can be male or female and will breed with any other breedable Dragon. Their Egg description is the same as the Stone.

Gray

This egg is surrounded by fog.	Aww…It's a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, the sky has been full of very dark clouds.	And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing. It's learned to use its new wings very fast, and now you have a hard time keeping it on the ground.	Gray dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers, and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Guardian

This egg is sitting in front of the others.	Aww…It's a cute baby dragon. It has a large, shield-like object at the end of its tail that it uses for protection.	And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.	Guardian dragons have a large shield on the end of their tails. Although it appears to be heavy, it is light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Magi

This egg has an orange aura radiating from it.	Aww…It's a cute baby dragon. Although, what's with its eyes?	And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.	Magi dragons are, as their names suggest, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is generally everything. They won't kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

This Dragon can be picked up year-round from the cave. It can be male or female and will breed with any other breedable Dragon. They are also known as Orange Dragons.

Mint

This egg is hidden behind the others, as if it is shy.	Aww…It's a cute baby dragon. It must be very shy, since it keeps hiding from you.	It's gotten slightly bigger! It must be close to maturing.	Mint colored dragons are the most peaceful of all dragons; They eat only plants unless they scavenge meat from an already dead animal. They also have no ways to attack others or defend themselves. They are much smaller than other forms of dragons, since they only double in size when they mature. They cannot use any forms of magic, and cannot fly since they don't have any wings. Their looks have given rise to the common insult of calling dragons "large lizards."

Neotropical

This egg has strange yellow stripes.	Aww… It's a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, it has been hiding among the tree leaves.	And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.	Neotropical dragons are a breed that originate in rainforests. They are fun-loving and enjoy lounging on tree branches, eating whatever fruit they find. They are also often found sunning themselves on rocks, using their large wings to soak up the rays. In the summer, males compete for mates by showing off their striped wings, gliding in spirals down the tree trunks. It is said that the larger the wings, the more likely the male will attract a suitable mate.

Ochredrake

This egg has strange markings on it.	Aww… It's a cute baby dragon. It seems to like you, although it is very hyperactive and difficult to train.	And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.	Ochredrakes are a curious species, with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviours. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the face of a gentle hand.

Pink

Pink dragons are primarly herbivores, and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan's young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Purple

Pygmy dragons are the smallest breed of true dragons, being the size of a small cat. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators, and to leave generous scraps. As such, the majority of a Pygmy's diet is scavenged, though they do hunt songbirds and small mammals when the pickings are slim. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with other varieties of dragons, but select mates within their breed.

It must be close to maturing.	Red dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren't evil creatures as depicted in myths, and won't go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

It must be close to maturing.	Skywing dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are one of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.	Stone dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

It must be close to maturing, and it is now covered in brightly colored stripes.	Striped dragons come in a dazzling array of colors, complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the dragon is usually determined by the dragon's mate.

They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

This egg is sitting in a patch of grass and small flowers even though there's no sun in the cave.	Aww…It's a cute baby dragon…except for the tangle of dangerous-looking vines surrounding it…	Now there are even more vines. Perhaps something is happening?	Dark green dragons, once they mature, appear to become an entirely different species. However, this isn't true. Rather, they burrow underground and get nutrients from their vines. These vines are sometimes referred to as Dragon Grass. They are very violent, and will use these vines to capture, kill, and eat anything it sees that moves, as well as nearby plants. Luckily, its range is limited, and it can't use magic. Also, they tend to be easy to spot since they usually kill all plants around them and thus will be surrounded by a large clearing.

Its fins and tail have gotten bigger, and you've moved it to a larger body of water to swim in.	When a water dragon matures, it loses almost all use of its legs as well as its ability to survive on land and enters the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They usually stay in the same lake their entire life, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Waterhorse dragons received their name due to their horse-like physique and endearing behavior. They are capable of surviving out of water, and when on land their skin secretes a gelatinous goo to retain moisture. However, their large paddle feet are better suited for swimming, and waterhorse dragons tend to move very awkwardly when on land. Waterhorses are very friendly dragons, and enjoy playing with humans.
